In a remarkable display of unity and teamwork, the school successfully conducted a three-day clean-up drive from January 22 to 24, 2025. Spearheaded by the Supreme Student Government (SSG), the WINS Team, the A.P.A.N. Club, and the Yes-O organization, the initiative aimed not only to maintain the school’s cleanliness but also to instill a sense of responsibility among students in preserving a tidy and healthy environment.

Dubbed “Campus Keepers: From Litter to Shimmer,” the event sought to promote values such as cleanliness, teamwork, and environmental stewardship. Over the course of three days, students, teachers, and school staff worked hand-in-hand to sweep, wash, and properly segregate waste across the school perimeter. The activity also highlighted the importance of refraining from littering, with student leaders putting up informational signages around the campus to remind everyone of their shared responsibility to keep the school grounds clean.

Jhowenlie Rihanna M. Landicho, President of the WINS Team and Vice President of the SSG, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support from all participating organizations. “This clean-up drive is a testament to our commitment to our duties and responsibilities as members of this school community. Let’s continue to maintain a healthy and pleasant learning environment. We’re proud to see everyone working together toward a common goal. We hope to organize more activities like this in the future, and we encourage everyone to keep helping our school community, whether through clean-up drives or other initiatives,” she shared.

The SSG and WINS Team plan to make the clean-up drive a monthly activity, aiming to foster sustainable practices and long-term environmental stewardship. With the success of this initiative, there is optimism that it will become a regular part of the school calendar, continuing into future academic years. As the school moves forward, this effort serves as a reminder that maintaining clean surroundings is not just an occasional task—it is an ongoing commitment that everyone must embrace daily.

The “Campus Keepers” project was more than just a three-day clean-up drive; it was a transformative experience that molded students into responsible stewards of the environment. Beyond cleaning the campus, the initiative brought the school community closer together, uniting students, teachers, and staff under a shared purpose. By the end of the activity, participants felt inspired to continue making a positive impact, eagerly anticipating new projects that would further encourage the school to work toward a cleaner, greener, and more united future.

Through “Campus Keepers,” DVBRMHS demonstrated that caring for the environment is not only about protecting nature but also about fostering unity and collaboration within the community. This initiative has set the stage for a culture of responsibility and collective action, paving the way for a brighter and more sustainable tomorrow.
